Born in Sancti-Spiritus, Cuba, Leyen Zulueta began training as a young girl at Jaramillo Judo Club. Currently a Go Dan (5th Degree Black Belt) Leyen defected from communist Cuba looking for a better life, while on a competition trip w/ the Cuban National Team. She is one of the very best Judokas living in the United States & the most decorated Judo Competitor living anywhere in the Midwest -male or female.
